Want to learn how to shmooze with recruiters, market yourself most effectively, and make the most of your time during the upcoming Career Fair? Well, you’re in luck because on September 12, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. in Room E310 at One Pace Plaza, Career Services brings you the How to Work a Career Fair and 30-Second Pitch workshop. Learn what to say and do when you meet a recruiter and make the most of your time.

Want to lead, learn, and, earn? The NYPD Cadet Corps will be tabling from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the first floor kiosk at One Pace Plaza on September 13. Speak with a recruiter to find out how you can join the NYPD Cadet Corps, experience the challenges and personal rewards of a career in the NYPD, and earn a great hourly wage ($14.16).

On September 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Room 208 at the WP Grad Center, learn what goes into a resume that stands out from the competition, markets your ‘personal brand’, and lands the interview,  as Marie Riffel-Founder of CareerWorks, professional talent and career coaching firm, presents The Professional “Branded” Resume Cover Letter.

Your favorite Fairy Jobmother returns on Thursday, September 20 as employers head to the NYC Campus from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. looking to hire you at the Fall 2012 Job and Internship Fair. Meet with representatives from media, financial services, consumer products, not-for-profits, government, accounting, banking, healthcare, computer science, technology, hospitality, retail, and many more. Bring several copies of your resume and dress professionally. Open to Pace University students and alumni only. Your future is waiting in the Gym. Where will you be?

Career Services will also be hosting Open Houses on September 13, 14, 18, and 19, so stop by to learn more about the department that helped Pace land a spot on the U.S. News Short List top 10 list of universities placing undergraduates in internships.

If you’re a full-time graduate student  ideally in publishing, marketing, media and communications, or a related field, the Marketing and Communications Department is looking for you! The Marketing and Communications Graduate Assistant will assist the Creative Director and editorial and design teams with developing marketing and editorial materials (print and online) for the University.
