Welcome to the White House

Well, sort of. On February 2, let’s pack the house as the Setters men’s and and women’s basketball teams host their annual White Out game and Men’s Alumni Day.

The fun starts on Saturday, February 2 at 1:30 p.m. as the men’s and women’s basketball teams host a doubleheader against Stonehill in the Goldstein Fitness Center in PLV.

This game will mark a “Pack the House” attendance challenge and the first 1,000 fans will receive a White Out t-shirt, thanks to SAAC, as part of the annual Pace basketball White Out game. Fans are also encouraged to tweet using hashtag #1000strong. If you need more incentive, the Z100 radio street team will be there with giveaways and prizes and free food from Pace Athletics sponsors will be given out in the student fan zone.

At half-time during the men’s game, Pace alumnus and former baseball player Sam Smith ’70 will talk about his career as a journalist covering the NBA. Smith, who wrote for the Chicago Tribune and covered the Bulls and the NBA for 25 years, has been writing for Bulls.com since 2008. He is also author of the bestselling books The Jordan Rules and Second Coming: The Strange Odyssey of Michael Jordan.

Following the men’s game, the women’s game will tip off at 3:30 p.m., with a halftime featuring performances by the Pace drum line, cheer and dance teams, and a half-court shot to win $15,000.
