SGRho on the Go

Wake us up before you go, go…to Sigma Gamma Rho’s Founder’s Week featuring a spelling bee, So You Think You Can Dance contest, nerds vs. jocks party, and much more.

Sigma Gamma Rho invites you to Watch the ThRHOne beginning on Monday, November 5, as they kick off their 90th Founder’s Day Celebration Week.

On Monday, November 5, stop by the Kessel Well from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. to help children success in education by donating school supplies and money as part of Operation Big Bookbag.

Later that evening, show off your spelling s-k-i-l-l-s at SGRho’s Spelling Bee from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in Gottesman Room for a chance to win a Kindle.

On Tuesday, November 6, Sigma Gamma Rho teams up with the Future Educators Association (FEA) for the Evolution of Education, a roundtable with faculty and FEA to discuss the different changes in the academic system and styles of teaching over the past few decades, at 9:00 p.m. in Gottesman.

On Friday, November 9, bring your dancing shoes and moves to So You Think You Can Dance, a competition co-sponsored by SLU, LUL, and KAPsi from 9:00 p.m. to midnight in Gottesman. $3 gets you in the door to enjoy Caribbean food, fun, and entertainment; $5 gets you all that and a chance to win a $100 Barnes and Noble gift card or $100 in agency account if you’ve got all the right moves. E-mail if you’re interested in competing!

Finally, Founder’s Week comes to an end on Saturday, November 10, at the Nerds vs. Jocks-themed Founder’s Day Party from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. in the Willcox Gym.
