Bust a Move

Forget Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance. Pace Performing Arts students can dance and will be lacing up their dancing shoes for the annual Dance Out Loud showcase on April 26 and 27.

Dyson Performing Arts students are prepping their tootsies for two nights of dancing as they present the Dance Out Loud dance showcase in the Schimmel Theatre on April 26 and 27.

Conceived and directed by Rhonda Miller, one of the most sought-after choreographers in the country and director and lecturer of dance at Pace, the showcase will feature Pace students getting their tap, jazz, ballet, modern, hip hop, contemporary dance, and even aerial arts on. Choreographers include Miller, former Radio City Rockette Lauren Gaul, Jessica Hendricks, Jennifer Littlefield , Agnes DeMille’s Hoedown from Rodeo (staged by Paul Sutherland), Jeremy Duvall, Alisa Paradowski, So You Think You Can Dance’s Mandy Moore, Cherice Barton, Stephanie Torbik, Gregg Russell, Scott Jovovich, and Jose Limon Psalms (staged by Jonathan Riedel).

Last year, students performed more than 20 numbers. For a sneak peek of performances, go Behind the Stage of the 2012 Dance Out Loud Showcase with POP-TV.

Shows will be held on Friday, April 26, at 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 27, at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the Schimmel Theatre on the NYC Campus. Tickets are $8 for students and seniors and $12 for everyone else, and can be reserved in advance here.
