On March 21, stop by the Multipurpose Room to hear how three undergrads revolutionized an archaic paper check-based system for financial aid refunds and created a firm that serves more than 5.5 million students, including everyone at Pace, as the Entrepreneurship Lab hosts a Fireside Chat with Miles Lasater, co-founder and COO of Higher One.
The 2010 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for New England and recipient of the Elm-Ivy Award, Lasater will talk about he and some college friends turned an idea into what was named one of the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. by Inc. magazine and Entrepreneur magazine. Lasater also recently co-founded SeeClickFix, a Government 2.0 start-up, which encourages residents to become active citizens in taking care of and improving their city by reporting non-emergency issue in their neighborhood.
In addition to the chat, there will be a Q&A and networking reception. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. For more info or to register, visit www.pace.edu/elabevent.
