Common Hour Convo: Gun Rights or Wrongs

Are you pro-gun control? A gun rights advocate? No matter where you stand, join the CCAR on February 27 at a debate on gun violence and gun control.

On Wednesday, February 27, from 12:20 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. in One Pace Plaza’s┬áMeeting Room A on the NYC Campus, join the Center for Community Action and Research (CCAR) to discuss the issue of gun violence and gun control in the wake of tragedies in Aurora, at Sandy Hook Elementary, and elsewhere in the United States.

Is it time for gun control? Will proposed measures actually impact gun violence? Is the answer to a bad guy with a gun, a good guy with a gun, or is there another way? As a society, we cannot afford to wait for another Columbine, another Sandy Hook, another Aurora to take action. What can we do? What should we do? Professor Mark Weinstock will moderate this common hour student discussion and free pizza will be served!
