Kick it With the Deephers

Beginning on March 27, DPhiE will host ANAD week. What does that mean? A week’s worth of kickball tournaments, wing-eating contests and pie-throwing events, and a vigil to raise awareness and funds for Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders.

The sisters of Delta Phi Epsilon are proud to host Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD) Week to raise money and awareness about ANAD at a number of unique events beginning on March 27.

On Tuesday, March 27, stop by the Pace Perk Café at 9:00 p.m. for a wing eating contest. The cost is $7 to compete, and the winner will receive a $25 American Express gift card. If you don’t want to compete, you can pay $2 for wings.

On Wednesday March 28, there will be pie in the Miller Lawn sky! If you’ve ever wanted to pie someone, this will be your chance as the Deephers take one for the team at the Aim for ANAD event. $2 for one pie and $5 for three pies.

On Thursday, March 29, lace up your sneakers and head to the Willcox Gym at 9:00 p.m. to kick for the cure at DPhiE’s annual kickball tournament. The cost for a team of seven is $20 and the winning team will receive a plaque.

On Friday, March 30, DPhiE and the Psychology Department will host the ANAD Vigil at 5:00 p.m. in Gottesman. There will be a speaker, Dyson Professor Stacey Casden will speak about eating disorders and there will be a candlelight vigil.

Proceeds of each event will be donated to combat eating disorders, so come out and support a good cause!
