There’s No Place Like Home…coming!

That’s right Toto, we’re not in Kansas anymore. We’re in PLV and NYC, where in the next week and a half the wizards of Campus Activities will unveil a lineup of events unlike any other. So grab your families and check out some fireworks and games and shows, oh my!

HomecomingHomecoming 2011 kicks off on the NYC Campus on October 10 with Pace Pride Day and a Color Wars Challenge: Pace trivia in CAF 101 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On October 11, the Color Wars Challenge continues with an obstacle course in the Student Union as well as the Better Residence Halls and Club Offices Contest, so get your rooms all Martha Stewartatized because the two winners will be awarded 10 pizzas!

On October 12, the real fun begins with Oktoberfest/Fall Fest from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Courtyard and Student Union and a Pep Rally at night with Pace Intra Football team members and cheerleaders, student performances, the Homecoming court, and DJ Zek.

On October 13, it’s Show Your Pride Day as well as the third Color Wars Challenge: the NYC Scavenger Hunt, followed by the Alumni and Student Leader Reception, announcement of NYC Homecoming King and Queen, and P.A.C.E Board’s Homecoming Concert, featuring Cyphie the Prince and Shawn Chrytopher, Winter Gordon, Busta Rhymes and Big Sean, alongside Hot 97s street team and music by Hot 97s own DJ Spynfo. Tickets are $5 in advance for Pace students and $10 at the door. For guest students, tickets will cost $10 in advance and $20 at the door. The Pace Gym doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m.

October 14 and 15 will be all about the Broadway shows, jazz brunches, bus tours, BOOM, and more! Get the full schedule of NYC events and register here.

On the PLV Campus, Homecoming kicks off with a Greek Alumni Reception and Step and Stroll Show in the Goldstein Fitness Center on October 20.

On October 21, catch the Student Unity Parade, enjoy a BBQ in Choate parking lot, and see the football team and performances by the Drumline, Dance Team, and Cheerleaders, as well as an introduction of the Homecoming Court, presentation of banners, and Lubin vs. Dyson vs. CHP vs. CSIS vs. Education competition at the Pep Rally beginning at 8:00 p.m. in the Goldstein Gym. At 9:00 p.m., a fireworks display will light up the sky and snacks will be provided. End the night at the Homecoming Party in the Willcox Gym in memory and recognition of former Pace Football player and student DJ Henry. Students will be admitted free, but alumni and guests will pay admission and fees will support the DJ Henry Memorial Clock.

On October 22, the Homecoming Bazaar kicks off at 11:00 a.m. followed by the Football game at 1:00 p.m., where general admission will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. At half-time, the Homecoming king and queen will be crowned and there will be a live performance by Use Drum Line Athletics. Campus tours will be available for your folks and alumni in the afternoon with receptions for both following and a community dinner will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Willcox Gym with Robert Channing as the evening entertainment.

Later that night, end the fun with the 3rd annual Fabulosity.

On October 23, stop by Gottesman for a light brunch, enjoy apple and pumpkin picking off campus, check out Sister Act on Broadway, and end Homecoming weekend with comedian, Maurica. ¡Wepa!
