On September 17, 1787, the U.S. Constitution was signed by 39 brave men who changed the course of history. Now Constitution Day is a time for us to continue their legacy and develop habits of citizenship in a new generation of Americans.
On the NYC Campus, pick up your red, white, and blue cupcakes and pocket Constitutions from SGA in the lobby of One Pace Plaza from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
What does democracy mean to you? Stop by the Center for Community Action and Research’s board and write in your responses! Also, make sure to check out the Birnbaum Library’s display on the first floor.
For those of you in the dorms, some RA’s will be hosting Constitution-themed movie nights, so check in with your floors to find out what’s going on.
On the PLV Campus, you can have your cupcakes and eat them, too! Stop by the Gottesman Room from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on September 20 as Professor Howard Weishaus conducts a hands-on exercise to apply the Bill of Rights to constitutional issues we face today. Pocket Constitutions and patriotic cupcakes provided!
