Give a Child a Jumpstart Today!

Jumpstart not only realizes that every child is born with the potential to succeed, they work to make sure that happens. Now’s the time to jump at the chance to join Jumpstart at Pace and help one of the nation’s leading nonprofits in the field of early childhood education while paying for college!

Jumpstart at Pace is currently recruiting for the 2011-2012 corps!  Corps members have the unique opportunity to inspire young children to learn,  provide individualized attention to help children succeed in school and in life, serve in a local community, work on a team, build professional skills, and earn money.

Jumpstart at Pace places approximately 50 students a year at local preschools to mentor young children. If you’re looking to be a part of something greater, Jumpstart at Pace is it!

-Earn $10/hour through work study
-Earn up to a $1,250 Education Award through AmeriCorps at the end of your service

Volunteers also participate in fun events with other universities, including Read-A-Palooza!, hosted by Pace’s Jumpstart program in partnership with NYCAEYC, a community event held last month which featured free activities and games related to popular storybooks for children ages 3-9.
