Keds’ How Do You Do? Tour at Pace

If you see a 32-foot shoebox driving near the NYC Campus on May 5, don’t freak out. Shoe giant Keds has chosen Pace to host one of the huge events on their cross-country “How Do You Do?” tour.

Keds is currently traveling cross-country, stopping at college campuses and large cities with vibrant art communities to discover how America’s next generation of young people are inspired to do what they do. In each city, Keds, in partnership with a local arts charity, hosts a huge interactive event that showcases local musicians and artists and brings to life what inspires students in that city. The local arts charity we are supporting is Free Arts NYC, an organization that provides under-served children and families with a unique combination of educational arts and mentoring programs that help them to foster the self-confidence and resiliency needed to realize their fullest potential. Pace, along with FIT, are the only two NYC stops on the tour, and are representative of colleges with strong arts or fashion-based programs.

On May 5, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., stop by Union Square for the main event. Pace students will be designing Keds and participating in the Keds Fashion Show and there will be tons of interactive events all day.

To support the organization, tweet a response to one of these questions: “How do you do inspiration?” and “How do you do NYC?” anytime between May 4 at 12:00 a.m. and May 5 at 11:59 p.m. Include the hashtag #KedsHDYD or #KedsHDYD_NYC and Keds will donate $1 to Free Arts NYC for each tweet (up to $5,000)! Keds’ hand-picked local artists will be on site creating a mural inspired by your tweets! Follow Keds on their tour.

Make sure to enter the design contest and win $5,000 for a charity of your choice and $1,000 for yourself!
