“Well,” That Was Easy

Feeling good comes from within—let the Counseling Center help you get your mind, body, and spirit in balance during Wellness Week with the help of some four-legged friends, intricate origami, and a stress-free seminar.

The Counseling Center offers some great ways to stay happy and healthy during these last few weeks of winter with Wellness Week, a series of events and activities designed to promote emotional and bodily wellness.

Think your furry friend is only good for tail-wagging and catnapping? Think again. Join the Counseling Center as they team up with one of the nation’s leading animal welfare organizations, BideaWee, on February 28 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Fulton Hall in Paws for Relaxation: Pet Therapy for Emotional Well-being. Come interact with trained therapy animals and learn about the benefits of creating connections with the natural world. For those interested, there will also be information on how to volunteer with animals in NYC.

Want more? Well stop by the Student Union on March 1 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and craft your way to wellness. Members of the Pace Community are invited to create origami cranes and handmade cards to send to family and friends. Have some fun and express yourself by playing with colors and creation.

Need a break? Chill out on March 2 in the Multipurpose Room from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Come learn simple, do-it-yourself techniques designed to help relax the body and mind that can be used anywhere to help reduce stress and improve focus.

And don’t forget to stop by the Counseling Center table in the Kiosk (One Pace Plaza) for the daily event schedule, and free snacks and giveaways.
