SoCo and Swine

You missed your first chance on November 30! You’ll get one more on December 7, when the doors of student-run restaurant Southern Comfort will open to serve you up some fall-off-the-bone ribs, mama’s mac and cheese, and some catfish tacos that’ll have you purring for the rest of the night.

Last year, MGT 309 students spiced up your life with Besito Picante Mexican restaurant, and we’re here to tell you this year’s student-operated restaurant is hot, hot, hot. You’ve already missed the November 30 opening, so be at the Gottesman Room on December 7 for your last chance to sample some Southern Comfort. Doors are open and the food is piping hot from 5:00 p.m. to 11:45 p.m.

Check out the menu, which includes BBQ chicken, shrimp and sausage jambalaya, pulled pork, loaded mashed potatoes, and much more. Each table gets some complimentary cornbread to start.

All major credit cards, One Card, and cash accepted, and all proceeds will be donated to the Danroy “DJ” Henry Memorial Fund.

The Restaurant Management & Operations students spend the first 12 weeks developing a theme, designing a menu, surveying students, and working with experts in the field, and the class manages all aspects of the operation, including service, management, and food preparation. They’ve been working hard all semester, so come out and support your fellow students!
