Make a Stand

Want to make a difference? Meet anti-genocide activists from Pace, Queens College, and The New School on November 7 and stand out loud at the first-ever NYC Stand Conference.

Join student activists from the NYC area as they come together to raise awareness and fight back against genocide at the NYC Stand Conference, co-hosted by Pace, Queens College, and The New School on our NYC Campus.

On November 7, attend workshops, network and collaborate with other student activists, participate in discussions on genocide, hear from Tim Aye Hardy from the U.S. Campaign for Burma and others on Sudan,  the Congo, and more.

STAND, the student-led division of the Genocide Intervention Network, envisions a world in which the international community protects civilians from genocidal violence and elected officials are held accountable for their action, or inaction, in the face of genocide.  Born out of the fight to stop the genocide in Darfur, Sudan, STAND is devoted to creating a sustainable student network that actively fights genocide wherever it may occur.
