On Friday, October 8, the Inter-Fraternity Council holds the Greek Week BBQ and Fair on Miller Lawn in PLV from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for your chance to mix, mingle, and marathon (well, if running back for seconds on hamburgers counts!) Then on October 11 in NYC, the Greek Council hosts Meet the Greeks, a traditional event occurring every semester where Greek organizations show school spirit and perform presentations for the community. The event includes music, drinks, and food. Plus you get to smash your plate and shout “Opa!” when you’re done (ok, not really), but come on down anyway to get acquainted with Greek life.
Why would I want to hang out with a bunch of pocket-protector wearing… oh you said “GREEKS?” Gotcha. Big wooden horses, togas, and boat trips (and poems) that last way too long? No? Oh, those Greeks. The brothers and sisters on campus who show school spirit, are leaders in the community, and sponsor a bunch of great events? Well, of course we’ll go to that!
