Gaga for Google

Mailbox full? Not happening. For undergraduate and graduate students, it’s a whole new ball game. On September 15, Pace goes gaga for Google.

On August 23, first-year students were set up with Google Apps for Education. For returning and transfer students, the magic date is September 15, when you will be able to begin sending and receiving e-mail from http://google.pace.edu.

Why do you want to do this? Well, for one you’ll get 70 times the mail space, so that mailbox full message will never be seen again. There’s also GChat; Google Docs, so you can create and share documents, spreadsheets, and presentations online; Google Calendar to schedule meetings, create events, and share calendars; Access to your information from anywhere with an internet connection (and from a mobile device);  and you get to keep your e-mail address after graduation.

Happy Gmailing!
