Are you a lean, green writing machine? Can you bring artwork to life on a page? Well, Pace’s art and literary magazine VOX is looking for you!

VOX Arts & Literary Magazine, Pace’s student-run literary magazine on the PLV Campus, is looking for your original works of art!

If you’ve got quality poetry, fiction, non-fiction, artwork, and photography, VOX has a place for you to share it. Submit your entries for the Spring 2013 nature-themed issue by February 27. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are eligible for consideration. For more information and guidelines, visit http://vox.pace.edu/submissions/.

This year, in addition to a cover art contest, which will feature two winners for the front and back cover, there will be a prose/short story contest and poetry contest. Submissions also due by February 27 and multiple entries are allowed.

Free your voice…and your calendar as VOX Arts and Literary Magazine brings you their fall launch event with readings, prizes, and more in PLV.

The Department of English and Modern Languages and VOX Arts and Literary Magazine invite you to join them for the VOX Arts and Literary Magazine launch event from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on December 5 in the Goldstein Center’s VIP Room in PLV.

Good and evil, night and day, love and hate, life and death, courage and fear, enlightenment and ignorance—and everything in between. Join VOX as they celebrate this semester’s theme of “Light versus Dark.” Stick around for a featured reading from prized novelist Helena María Viramontes, student readings, prize announcements, and the distribution of the latest issue of VOX Arts and Literary MagazineVOX Arts and Literary Magazine. Also celebrate the recent publication of Between Worlds: An Anthology of Fiction and Criticism edited by Deborah Poe, PhD, and Ama Wattley, PhD. Lunch will be served.

If you’ve got quality poetry, fiction, non-fiction, artwork, or photography, VOX has a place for you to share it.  Submit your entries by March 7. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are eligible for consideration.

VOX is also looking for their next cover. Enter the Cover Art  Competition for a chance to have your artwork featured on the cover of the next issue, plus a $50 prize. 
Second place will receive $25 and your artwork featured on the centerfold.

Think Inside the VOX

Calling all literature and art lovers: Join the English Department and VOX Literary and Art Journal to celebrate another great year and issue on April 26 at their Year-End Gala on the PLV Campus.

The seven-time recipient of the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Award, VOX Literary and Art Journal celebrates the creative voice of the Pace student body through poetry, short stories, creative essays, visual art, photography, and more. And on April 26, they’re celebrating in style with their Year-End Gala.

Stop by the Butcher Suite in PLV from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. for food, writing, the latest issue, presentations, prize announcements, and more. What prizes? Head to the Mortola Library on April 25 or April 26 to participate in the English department’s Book Spine Poetry Competition!
