Taking You Out to the Home Games

Football pinks up the Pace, soccer kicks cancer to the curb, and volleyball digs the 80s.

Pace Goes Pink
Football returns home on Saturday, October 12, at 1:00 p.m. against Bentley University. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to this game as the Pace Football team will be joining the “Pace Goes Pink” campaign to benefit Northern Westchester Hospital’s Breast Institute. The Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC), in partnership with the student group Colleges Against Cancer, will be selling the 2013 edition “Pace Goes Pink” t-shirt throughout the game for $5. This game will also feature Take a Kid to the Game Day with all children 12 and under receiving a free ticket to the game as well as the opportunity to participate in a halftime skills competition and Sophomore Appreciation Day as an installment of the programming specifically for sophomores throughout the month of October. That’s a three-for-one deal!

The Women’s Soccer team will also kick cancer to the curb with their own Pace Goes Pink fundraising game as they take on SCSU on Wednesday, October 16, at 3:30 p.m. on the Briarcliff Field.

Dig 80s
It’s going to be raining cool cats and hot dawgs in Westchester as the Setters Volleyball team takes on the Nebraska Kearney Panthers on Friday, October 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the Goldstein Gym. And that’s not all, big hair and blue eyeliner are back as part of the totally awesome 80s night. That’s right, dress up like your favorite Golden Girl, rock the Flock of Seagulls or Miami Vice, or bust out the legwarmers and leotards we know you have in your closet a la Flashdance. The fan wearing the best 80s attire will win a prize—tubular.

Next up for Volleyball: The Setters take on St. Rose as they host Youth Day on Saturday, October 19. All youth in attendance will meet the players and get autographs after the game. Plus, all fans get a free team photo.

Plus, for all you hoops fans Midnight Madness is happening this month. Stay tuned for more info next week!
