Guettel Yourself to the Schimmel

After a year-long artist-in-residency at Pace, Tony Award-winning composer Adam Guettel will share the Schimmel stage with Dyson BFA musical theater students for a night of electrifying performances on April 30.

On April 30 at 8:00 p.m. in the Schimmel Theatre on the NYC Campus, the Pace Performing Arts Department is bringing you a concert of works by Adam Guettel , Tony award-winning composer of the musicals The Light in the Piazza, Floyd Collins, and Myths & Hymns, accompanied by Dyson Musical Theater students and alumni, and directed by Amy Rogers, with musical direction by Robert Meffe, Andrew Smithson, and Joel Waggoner.

This concert, which will include a diverse mix of old and new songs from Guettel’s projects, is the culmination of a year-long artist-in-residency in which Guettel taught classes in musical theory, song interpretation, musical theater history and composition, as well tested material from a new project with Pace students. He will also discuss his creative process with demonstrations of different versions and revisions of songs.

Tickets are $8 for Pace students and $12 for the general public. To purchase, click here.
