From March 9-15, the sisters of Delta Phi Epsilon invite you to ANAD Week, which will bring attention to anorexia and related disorders and help raise funds for their philanthropy to combat these disorders.
On Saturday, March 9 kick off ANAD Week at the March Madness Relay with DPhiE from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the Environmental Lawn in PLV (rain location is Wilcox Gym). Teams made up of six people will participate in several different types of relay events including a three-legged race and tug of war in order to raise money and benefit ANAD. The cost for each team is $10 and prizes will be rewarded to the winning team.
On Sunday, March 10 it’s time to show your skills on the court as DPhiE hosts Shoot for the Cure, a 5-on-5 basketball tournament which will feature music by WPAW from 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in the Willcox Gym. $10 registration for each team and prizes will be awarded to the winning team.
On Monday, March 11 stop by Kessel during Common Hour (12:25 p.m. to 1:25 p.m.) for Mirrorless Monday to take pictures with a cut out mirror and make inspirational messages to send to friends that week for $1. Bracelets will also be sold for $1. Later that evening from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the Setters Café, DPhiE hosts a Mean Girls Monday movie night. Refreshments will be sold at the event.
On Tuesday, March 12 at 9:00 p.m. in the Setters Café, eat your heart out as the DPhiE hosts a Wing Eating Contest. The cost is $5 to participate and the winning contestant will get a prize.
On Wednesday, March 13 there will be pie in the PLV sky! If you’ve ever wanted to pie someone, this will be your chance as the Deephers take one for the team at AIM for ANAD, a pie throwing contest held during Common Hour. $2 for one pie, $5 for three pies.
On Thursday, March 14, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., stop by the Kessel Well for Be Healthy, Not Hungry, where DPhiE will be selling goodie bags with inspirational messages on the inside and bracelets for just $1.
Finally on Friday, March 15, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Gottesman Room, DPhiE will end ANAD week with a vigil to remember and honor all of the victims of eating disorders.
Proceeds of each event will be donated to combat eating disorders, so come out and support a good cause!
