A Welcoming Winter Week

Classes begin on Wednesday, January 23, but SDCA is making sure they’re filling the day with fun. Drop by the Kessel Well beginning at 12:25 p.m. to stuff a bear. Then at 5:30 p.m., head over to the Goldstein Gym to watch the Setters light up the scoreboard as the men’s and women’s basketball teams take on Southern New Hampshire. More info about that game here.

Step right up and enjoy a night of funnel cake, caricature artists, photo booths, and Asian Name Art as the Setter’s Lounge hosts a Night at the Carnival, minus the creepy clowns, on Thursday, January 24 from 9:00 p.m. to midnight.

On Friday, January 25, S.O.C.A. invites you to Rep Yuh Flag at their annual party in the Gym.

If you’re in a New York skate of mind, then join SDCA on an ice skating trip to Bryant Park on Saturday, January 26. The bus leaves Briarcliff at 12:00 p.m. and leaves the Kessel Student Center at 12:15 p.m. Buses head back to the PLV Campus from Bryant Park at 4:30 p.m. The event costs $5 and you can register here.

Spend your Sunday getting Pitch-slapped at pajama movie night, featuring the a cappella music mega-hit Pitch Perfect, starring Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Elizabeth Banks. It’s aca-awesome!

For $15, go inside the famous new Barclays Center to watch the Brooklyn Nets take on the Orlando Magic (and snack on one of the 37 unique local vendors including Calexico taco, Fatty Cue BBQ, and Blue Marble’s concretes) on Monday, January 28. The bus will leave the Briarcliff Campus at 5:45 p.m., and will then leave from outside the Kessel Student Center at 6:00 p.m. The bus returns to campus at around 10:15 p.m.  Space is limited so sign up today.

Make sure you kick of the semester refreshed and relaxed as SDACA hosts Winter Wellness, featuring massages and paraffin wax hands on Tuesday, January 29, from 9:00 p.m. to midnight in the Setter’s Lounge.

Finally, on Wednesday, January 30, from 12:25 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. dozens of the PLV Campus’ student clubs and orgs will be recruiting new members all over the Kessel Student Center as SDACA hosts the bi-annual Campus Involvement Fair. From BSU to CRU to OLAS to WPAW and so much more, get connected with Pace’s student orgs and clubs. For more info on some of these clubs, check out The Pulse’s handy Pace-O-Poly board.
