On Monday, December 10, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the Student Union, the Sigma Lambda Gamma sorority will sponsor For the Women by the Women, to bring injustices against women and women’s issues as well as women’s empowerment to the forefront. Dedicated to women’s success and motivation, the event will commence with a discussion on discrimination against women and other issues women face every day in America. The discussion will also cover hard-hitting topics such as the progression of women, women’s rights, and the different pressures women put on themselves.
At the event, Project Girl Performance Collective, a group of young women who raise awareness of domestic and global issues affecting women and girls through workshops and performances, will be performing skits and monologues on identity, body image, and violence against women and girls. The event will cover broad topics and will provide a safe and comfortable environment for students to express themselves freely. There will also be fun music and other activities to engage participants.
Do not miss your chance to support and uplift your fellow students on campus!
