Taking You Out to the Home Games

Football tackles pancreatic cancer, soccer helps you set some goals, and the volleyball team goes in for the kill this weekend!

Is football your first round pick? Then you’re going to want to see the Pace Setters take on the Merrimack Warriors on September 29. For the second year in a row, the football team will host the Lustgarten Foundation Awareness Game to raise awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer. The foundation will speak live on the Pace football pregame show on WFAS 1230 and sell items to benefit the organization during the game. The game will also be the annual Take a Kid to the Game Day/Pace Pups and feature free admission, so bring the little ones for some fun which includes a youth obstacle course and scrimmage during half-time. The Pace drum line, cheerleaders, and dance team will all perform and there will be several giveaways including a $500 Student Organization Attendance Challenge, $50 AFCU Student “Fast Cash” giveaway to one Pace student. Kickoff is at 1:00 p.m. on the Pace Field in PLV. Prior to the game, Phi Kappa Tau will host a pig roast in the Gottesman Room at noon and a local band will play during a pre-game tailgate from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

If you’d rather see the Setters serve, spike, and kill, then you’re in luck. Fresh off a tournament at Pace last weekend, the women’s volleyball team takes on Bentley at 11:00 a.m. on September 29 as part of Alumni Day, featuring a reception for former Setters in the VIP room after the match and free admission to the football game.

Get your kicks watching soccer? Then gooooooooooo to the Briarcliff Campus’ Pace soccer field at 3:30 p.m. on September 29 as the women’s soccer team takes on Bentley. The Setters also have a home game on Tuesday, October 2 against Adelphi.
