For the past three years, hundreds of students, faculty, and staff members spend a fall day clearing nature trails around Rockefeller State Park, working with the SPCA of Briarcliff, planting gardens and painting schools, and more as part of the PLV Campus’ Annual Pace Makes a Difference Day.
But why wait until the fall? Get your volunteer on at the 1st Annual Pace Makes a Difference Day—Spring Edition sponsored by students for students! On Saturday, April 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., join fellow students, staff, faculty, and alumni to volunteer and help make a difference in the local community. You can sign up as part of a team (i.e., student org) or sign up as an individual and you’ll be placed with other individuals or with a team.
Registration is required and volunteers will have a choice among the following projects:
- Greenburgh Nature Center—Help the nature center with beautification projects.
- The Loft—Spend some time with residents from White Plains by helping facilitate games and other activities.
- The Sharing Shelf—Help sort clothing donations that will go to children and teens in need.
- Volunteer on campus—Bond with students from the Successful Learning Center by participating in earth-themed arts and craft projects.
