Let’s Talk About Tech

If you want to talk about Apple and HP and all the good things and the bad things that may be, then let’s talk about the Tech Expo on March 28 in PLV.

The second annual Pace Tech Expo is coming to the Kessel Student Center on the Westchester Campus from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March 28 and will feature seminars by faculty and staff, a vendor showcase hosted by a number of big name tech companies, and plenty of free raffles and giveaways.

The Tech Expo is an opportunity for you to interact with and learn about emerging technologies in higher education and the consumer market from some of today’s biggest companies in the technology industry, including Dell, Audio/Video Corp., Crestron Electronics, Adobe, HP, Microsoft, Verizon Wireless, and Maven Technologies.

The event will consist of a vendor technology showcase where you will be able to learn more about educational applications, learn how technology is being utilized in today’s evolving classrooms, and see what is in development for classrooms of the future. There will also be seminar presentations by vendors and some of Pace’s esteemed faculty and staff.  These presentations will be focusing on innovative technology for use inside and outside of the classroom.

In addition, there will be tons of prizes! Students will have the opportunity to win prizes including an Apple iPad 2, Samsung 22″ HDTV, and Beats by Dr. Dre headphones! Students must sign up by Tuesday, March 27 to be eligible to win and must be present during the raffle, which will take place during common hour (12:50 p.m.-1:15 p.m.) There will be additional raffles throughout the day for everyone attending (students, staff, and faculty).
