NYC Campus

On March 21, grab a slice of pizza and hear from industry professionals about the ways you can incorporate your psychology major and academic studies into a career at the Lunch and Learn/Break to Education Series: Careers in Psychology.

If a graduate degree is in your future, stop by the Applying to Graduate School workshop on March 21 for info on programs in different areas. Learn about application procedures, testing information, and about the Pace graduate programs from an admissions counselor.

Finally, end your night with some popcorn and a movie at the Career Movie Series: The Devil Wears Prada. A discussion will follow the screening and refreshments will be served.

On March 21, international students are invited to the International Student Career Café, a monthly meeting for international students to make new connections and learn how to conduct a U.S. job search. Coffee and snacks will be served.

What can you do with an art history degree? Learn more about the art history program at Pace, hear about various art history and museum careers including internship suggestions, graduate programs, and preparation for those programs, as well as art history/museum resources that are available through Career Services at an open house and career planning session on March 26.

On March 27, hear from professionals about how to integrate your interest in foreign languages and appreciation for various cultures into a successful career path as Career Services and the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures hosts Marketing International Experience and Foreign Language Skills.

Finding an internship or full-time job is one thing; learning how to communicate effectively with your supervisor and colleagues is something totally different! Learn how to navigate through the challenges of communicating with the people at work to make all conversations and interactions valuable for your professional development and enjoy some free pizza at an important workshop on March 28 in the Multipurpose Room.

Also on March 28, Job Search for Dyson Majors from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in W628. Are you a Dyson student graduating in May without specific post-graduation plans? Well, you’re not alone! Only a small number of organizations recruit early for full-time jobs after graduation. Attend this interactive workshop to learn how to identify your career goals and develop an effective job/internship search plan!

PLV Events

The PLV Campus is prepping for the big Spring 2012 Job and Internship Fair on April 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Goldstein Fitness Center! Soon you’ll have a chance to meet with representatives to obtain career information and pursue job opportunities from accounting firms, financial services, media, consumer products, not-for-profits, government, healthcare, computer science, technology, hospitality, and many other areas of career interest. More than 70 companies have registered to attend including Apple, Federal Air Marshal Service, Ernst & Young, ArtsWestchester, Morgan Stanley, Mt. Kisco Medical Group,  IBM, Madison Square Garden, and the U.S. Army Medical Department.

But before you get that job, make sure your resume is in tip-top shape at an upcoming resume writing workshop on March 20. Nervous about the interview? Learn interviewing tips on April 3 to help you ace the interview and land that dream job.
