Think Pink!

Pace Basketball will play some hoops for hope this Saturday, February 11, as Pace Athletics hosts Play 4Kay, formerly the WBCA PinkZone, the annual Kay Yow fundraiser for breast cancer research.

The Setters host the College of Saint Rose in a Northeast-10 Conference match-up with the women’s game tipping off at 1:30 p.m. and the men’s game at 3:30 p.m. The cost is $5 for a 2012 edition Play 4Kay Pace Basketball t-shirt with all of the proceeds going to the Kay Yow Fund.

For the third straight year, Twin Jewelers of Pleasantville will sponsor the event and will also be at the game selling jewelry for last minute Valentine’s Day purchases. In addition, they will be holding a raffle for one pink jewelry item during the game.  Representatives from ShopRite of Thornwood will be sponsoring the ShopRite Fan Zone and will have free food for all fans in attendance. There will also be free pink cupcakes while supplies last.

The day will also mark Senior Day, the Setters’ final home game of the regular season. Pace Athletics will also host performances by the Pace Dance Team and Drum Line as well as a halftime scrimmage by a local CYO Youth Team. There will be a $50 Fast Cash Student Giveaway sponsored by Well Fargo during each game and the “Shock and Lock” promotion during the men’s game sponsored by Frank and Joe’s Deli.
