World AIDS Day is an international event to remember the 47 million people worldwide who have HIV or have died from the disease. This day is also an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
This year, the African Students Association at Pace (ASAP) is having a two-day celebration in honor of World AIDS Day.
On November 30, ASAP along with other organizations will be raising funds and awareness for World AIDS Day and providing baked goods, educational materials, HIV testing, and much more on the Gottesman Patio from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Make sure to wear red in support!
On December 1, ASAP will be selling shirts they created in honor of World AIDS Day for $3. Proceeds from t-shirt sales will go to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. Make sure to wear the t-shirt in support!
Also on December 1, Alpha Lambda Sigma will be fundraising for pediatric AIDS so stop by their tabling in the Kessel Well.
