Set the date to set the Pace and make a difference: Saturday, October 15, 2011.
This fall, the Pace Community will unite to make an impact on the local community in PLV as part of Make a Difference Day.
Past activities include providing a fun afternoon for children who are victims of abuse to helping spread a little sunshine in the form of artwork in schools, planting gardens, and cleaning up areas. This year, some of the confirmed partners include Rockefeller State Park (clearing a nature trail around an outdoor classroom in the preserve), SPCA of Briarcliff (working outdoors, planting, gardening, painting, putting down wood chips, clean-up of dog paths), Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, Pleasantville Garden Club, and more to be confirmed soon. There will also be on-campus activities including trash audit (recycling), repair of the fitness trail, spring planting, campus clean up, and more! Together we’ll roll up our sleeves and make a difference at the 3rd Annual Pace Make a Difference Day on October 15.
Students can sign up as part of a team (class, student org, residence hall) or sign up as an individual and you will be placed with other individuals or with a team. For more information, please contact Rachel Carpenter at the Office of Student Development and Campus Activities at email@example.com; Lisa Bardill Moscaritolo, Dean for Students, firstname.lastname@example.org; or Kayla Turner, Student Association President, email@example.com.
Registration is officially open and the first 200 students to register will receive a free t-shirt! Visit the Make a Difference Day website for more information.
