Acting on Poverty

This week, while many opted for fun in the sun, 15 Pace students are acting on poverty in NYC…and blogging about it!

You’ve heard about Pace’s Alternative Spring Break program, so we won’t go into details about it is. You can read all about that in a previous Pulse feature.

This week, 15 Pace students are making a difference on the streets of NYC. Check out the Dyson blog, updated several times daily, to learn all about their experience working with organizations including Sylvia’s Place, an emergency overnight shelter for LGBTQ youth, and Ready, Willing & Able, which offers homeless individuals a residential, work, and job skills training program to help them make positive lifelong changes and become self-sufficient.

Find out how their lives have been impacted by the work they’re doing and how they’ve become inspired by the people they met on this journey.
