Get in the Pink Zone

On February 16, the Setters men’s and women’s basketball teams play some hoops for hope as they host the annual WBCA Pink Zone game.

It’s time to get in the zone, as the Setters men’s and women’s basketball teams take on the Le Moyne Dolphins in the annual WBCA Pink Zone to benefit breast cancer research on February 16 in PLV. The women’s game will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s game to follow at 7:30 p.m.

Twin Jewelers of PLV will have a booth at the game showcasing select items from their store and raffling off a piece of pink jewelry at halftime during the women’s game. Flour and Sun Bakery will have free cupcakes at the gate, Nu Zeta Phi will be selling goods to contribute to the fundraiser, and other student organizations will be present as well.

All proceeds will be donated to the Kay Yow Foundation for breast cancer research. The 2011 edition of the Pace Athletics Pink Zone t-shirt will be on display in the lobby and available for purchase for $5.00. In addition, pink Pace Athletics wristbands will be on sale for $2.00. All gate money, wristband and t-shirt sales, as well as raffle contributions will go to the foundation.

This year, Pace Athletics will be offering specials to students who check in on their Foursquare app. Check in and show your phone at the ticket gate and you’ll  receive 2 free pink Pace Athletics wristbands with the purchase of a 2011 edition of the Pink Zone t-shirt.

And don’t forget: If you’re looking for something sooner, pack the pound on February 5 at the annual White Out game!
