Gleek Out for a Great Cause

Move over, Mr. Schue. There’s a new Glee Club in town and they’re right here on the PLV Campus. On December 8, they belt out some numbers for a great cause.

Go ahead with your normal routine of watching Glee on Tuesday nights, but on Wednesday, December 8, put down that remote and pause your latest Glee soundtrack to see your very own Pace Glee Club in action at the Glee Club Benefit Concert from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. in Gottesman on the PLV Campus.

The Glee Club will perform five songs (we can tell you that Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'” will be one of them, Green Day will be another–no “Time of Your Life”–but we are keeping mum about the others!) There will be a $3 suggested donation and all proceeds go to the Save the Music Foundation to restore music education in America’s public schools and Invisible Children, which uses film, creativity, and social action to end the use of child soldiers in Uganda.

There will be snacks and drinks, and opening acts will also be performing.

If you can’t make the December 8 event, Campus Crusade for Christ, Glee Club, SOCA, and P.I.P.E. present Seize the Day, a night of music, entertainment, inspiration, and encouragement, on December 6 at the Pace Perk.

Interested in joining the Pace Glee Club? They’re interested in having you! Meetings are on Sunday nights from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Email Sara Hutton at sh17761p@pace.edu for details. The Glee Club is also looking for some opening acts. Email Melissa Recine at mr45010p@pace.edu.
